Reservation Guidelines


To confirm your reservation we have a policy of  depositing  50% of the total room price plus taxes of your requested guest-room. Once this payment is made, you will receive an e-mail with the confirmation and all the details of your reservation. 1.  By submitting your credit card information you acknowledge your agreement to our reservation and cancellation guidelines. We kindly ask you to read  Puerta Sol Inn's policies .


    If you choose  to pay for your reservation in advanced, your credit card will be charged at that time.

    If you have chosen to pay for your reservation when you check out, your credit card will not be charged in advance. It will be used as a guarantee of your reservation and will be charged in the event of a late cancellation or no show.


2,      Our booking and currency policy is that we only accept cash (USA dollars), Visa and Mastercard credit cards or  bank direct deposits. 

3.      Rates are subject to 12% tax + 10% service.

4.      All prices are per person per night. An infant  under 3 years stays free of charge if he/she is  accommodated in the same bed as the parents. For aditional minors  3 years or less the rate per child is half of the adult rate. The cost for  minors more than 3 years old is the full adult rate. If you require a crib, please request it in advance.

5.      The reservations are not transferible. 

6.      Check-in time is 3:00 pm. If you need to arrive late at night, please let us know so we can make necesary arrangements

         Check-out time is 12:00 pm. If you need to extend your stay in the hotel please let us know 24 hours in advance to check availability.

         If you need a late check-out time (between 12:00 - 3:00 pm) you will be charged half rate per person. After 3:00 pm late check-out you will be charged full rate per person.

         We apply full rate per person if you need to stay in our premises  up to 6 hours or if you need a late check-in. A complimentary breakfast is also included in this rate and it will be served according to our breakfast schedule.



Cancellation Policy

All cancellations or changes requested must be made in writing and sent by email to, or by fax to + (593) 429-01400.  All cancellations must be confirmed by Puerta Sol Inn to be considered valid. A 100% refund will be provided if written notice of cancellation is received 72 hrs prior to the arrival date and confirmed  by the hotel.  A 50% refund of your total reservation deposit will be provided if written notice of cancellation is received and confirmed by the hotel betwen 71 and 24hours prior to the arrival date. There will be no refund of the reservation deposit if  the cancellation notice is  received and confirmed by the hotel less than 24 hours prior to the arrival date or if there is no-show. For Holiday Season please see below.


In case that you do not make a cancellation in advanced or you do not arrive on the date of your reservation the total of your  reservation deposit will not be refunded and the remaining nights reserved will be cancelled.

In the event that a guest leaves the hotel before the end of the reservation period no refund will be made for the remaining days of the reservation.


Holiday Season Cancellation Policies (all Holiday's included)

Cancellation of all reservations during  Holiday Season that includes dates between Nov 1st and May 15th are subject to the following:

        A full deposit refund will be provided if written notice of a cancellation and confirmation of the cancellation is received 30 or more days prior to the arrival date.


        If notice of a cancellation is received less than 29 days prior to the arrival date, there will  not be a deposit refund.


        NO-SHOW and/or un-used guest rooms  and/or early departures are NON-REFUNDABLE. 

Any cancellation, change or complain for any reservation made online through TRIPADVISOR, BOOKING.COM, EXPEDIA AND THEIR AFFILIATES, has to be made directly with them contacting their customer service department due to their own polices and rules to resolve it. 




I have read and accept the terms and conditions of this reservation & cancellation guidelines agreement. I agree to pay as outlined above  any fees or penalties concerning reservations, reservation deposits, reservation deposits and no shows, even though I have not signed the original charged note or voucher.





General regulations at Puerta Sol Inn

In order to ensure the  safety of all the guests at Puerta Sol Inn and to enable them to enjoy staying at the hotel, the Management has instituted the fiollowing rules and regulations.


Check-in time is  3:00 pm on day of arrival.  Check-out time is 12:00 pm on day of departure.

Registration:   All guests are required to make reservations in advance of coming to the hotel.                 

The Management reserves the right not to admit anyone who comes to the hotel without a prior reservation.

The Management reserves the right to remove any person or guest from the property due to illegal or disruptive behavior.

Keys:  Guests must return room keys when they check-out of the hotel.

The regular room cleaning hours at the hotel are from 8:00 am to 8:oo pm. If any guest does not make the room available for cleaning during those hours the housekeeper will not enter the room.          

A complimentary breakfast is provided with your reservation.  It is served from 8:00 am to 10:00 am daily in our dining room or patio.

Any time you leave your room please lock your door, turn off faucets, turn off lights and air conditioners.

Any guest who damages hotel propoerty or loses it will be responsible for paying in full for such lost or damage property.

Towels and other room ítems are not to be removed from the room.  When requested, guests may borrow beach towels  from the reception desk but they will be required to pay for those that are lost or damaged. 

Noise:  To maintain a restful, quiet ambiance in the hotel, we request that all guests refrain from shouting, speaking very loudly or playing televisions or other electronic devises at high volume.

Prohibition of Weapons, Drugs and othe Illegal Items:  The law forbids anyone to bring into our hotel weapons, narcotics or any other similar substances.

Pets are not allowed.

Safe Deposit Boxes:  There are safe deposit boxes in the reception area of the hotel.  We recommend that every guest utilize these boxes for all valuable possessions.   THE HOTEL IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE THEFT OR LOSS OF JEWELRY, CAMERAS, MONEY OR OTHER PERSONAL, VALUABLE OBJECTS LEFT IN GUEST ROOMS.

Protection of Hotel Construction:  Guests are prohibited from lighting fires or hanging pictures or other objects on the room  walls, including nails for hooks or other purposes. In addition, balconies or corridors shall not be obstructed by bags or bundles of any kind.

Smoking:  Smoking is prohibited in rooms or anywhere else in the hotel.  These are smoke free premises. If our guests decide smoke in their rooms, will be a charge of US$ 250 for cleaning and refreshing of the room.

Parking:   Guests who park in the hotel premises  do so at their own risk.  The hotel is not responsable for damages to parked vehicles.
